Greetings to all. I am newbie to the forum and looking for some insight on a rod that has been passed down from my father recently. I have researched the site and it seems there are a number of posts on VL & A but nothing on VL & D. Curious as to the history of the rod (or partnership) and what it might be worth - Would need to refurb it a bit and clean but otherwise river worthy. I have attached a photo for reference and thank you all in advance.

#2I believe your rod was made by Landman. In order to evaluate it we need more pictures. How long? Any pieces short( they all should be the same length). Any guides missing or dry? Any ferrules loose? How's the varnish?

#4What Mr. Handley said.
If there appears to be a copper disc insert at the bottom of the male ferrules it's a Landman.

#5Landman did make rods for Von Lengerke & Detmold in New York. Sure looks like Landman.

#8Although, I collect Heddon bait casting rods I think Landman rods are pretty amazing rods too.
