Identifying 40-50 yr old bamboo rod.

This is the board to ask about the identity, or for an appraisal, of a rod. Please use the outline as explained on the board. If there is a makers name, list that in the subject line. Make sure you include the length, number of sections, any identifying markings and the general condition. Adding photographs is always helpful!

Identifying 40-50 yr old bamboo rod.

Post by Leslie Grabove »

Hello

I inherited my fathers fly rod. He was 96 when he passed so I figure the rod must be at least 40 yr old.

It says Reid and North Vancouver on it it is numbered.

Can anyone help me yo identify it and give me a value to sell it for. I can send pictures if wanted.

Many thanks

If you post pictures along with your questions I'm pretty sure someone here can help you. One picture of the complete rod, one of the grip and where the reel attaches (reel seat), one of the ferrules( where the rod pieces fit together) good luck

What are the numbers on the rod? That might help us.
