I've opened up a guide service specializing on catching North Ga wild trout with classic bamboo.
"Hal's Cane Excursions" We offer 2hr, 4hr, and full day trips. Some basic fly-fishing knowledge is recommended but not required.

Hey Hal
Good looking web site. I really like the concept. I know you know the water as good as anyone and better than most. I'm sure you'll be a success. I wish I lived closer.
Good luck, see you in April.

Very interesting, good luck. I just met an older Georgia U. grad who lives up north these days. He and I exchanged contact info because he makes a trip back to fish the wild trout streams in north Georgia each spring for a few days and he wanted to meet up. I think he has a bamboo rod or two, but I'm not completely sure, but I most certainly will be fishing bamboo on those streams.

I will be taking you up on that this spring Hal. Looking forward to learning about some of the blue lines in N. Georgia.

I wish you lived closer. I have grown weary of the disdain or ignorance of guides about bamboo, so much that I sometimes just give in and use graphite to avoid the hassle. How refreshing and fun it would be to fish with you.
