I saw this pipe in a second hand store yesterday and thought some of the forum pipe collectors might be able to figure out it's origins. Piece of folk art, has me feeling an Irish Leprechaun might have owned it.
I didn't measure it, well over 12"
Not sure if it's carved with shamrocks or flowers
Carved at the end
I think the asking prices was around $60
Pipe ID, any ideas?

#2Dangit, lost my post before hit submit so starting over. Folk art pipe, maybe. Exhibits similarities in style to Native American pipes (not Pipestone) and Japanese Kiseru pipes for smoking traditional kizami tobacco. At $60, I'd buy it regardless. Nice addition and conversation piece for a pipe collector.

#4Pipe collecting is not my thing. Seems popular on this site. Based on the 2 entries above I Googled it. With the bowl being so far back on the stem it does have some similarity to the 'poppy' pipes.Nice addition and conversation piece for a pipe collector.
Anyone interested it was at Camas Antiques, Camas WA (looks like they have a web site)
