Stolen South Creek Ltd. Rod in Longmont, CO

#1

Post by royalwulff »

Hello Folks,
This is late, however the theft was discovered after the owner returned from her mother's funeral in TX. Two Longmont Contractors were allowed to finish a job in her home while she was at the funeral. Instead of finishing the job, they ransacked the rod, landing net, closets ransacked for jewelry and precious personal items. Even garage tools, shop vac, etc.

If you happen to see this rod, please notify police/sheriff in your area. This has been determined to be Grand Theft by value in Colorado

South Creek Ltd. Serial Number 957 7'9", 3 piece, 2 tip 5wt

Hopefully those "contractors" are easy enough to track down to at least hold some feet to the fire.

The violation of trust and taking advantage of someone in their time of grief is about as low as one could go. Fortunately for the offenders, they live in a country where they'll be allowed to keep their hands intact.
Condolences to the gal and prayers for justice be done.

Mike: were the contractors found and investigated ? Is there an outcome to this theft ? Just wondering since it has been over a year since your post.

It was found and returned to the owner it was built for. It appears that the contractor was not involved.
Thanks to all for keeping an eye out.
Hoping a better New Year for all my bamboo friends.

Particularly the part where the contractors didn’t get their hands chopped off for a crime they didn’t commit. Sheesh.
