Beaty Seat and Cord Grip

This is the board to ask about the identity, or for an appraisal, of a rod. Please use the outline as explained on the board. If there is a makers name, list that in the subject line. Make sure you include the length, number of sections, any identifying markings and the general condition. Adding photographs is always helpful!

Beaty Seat and Cord Grip

#1

Post by TommyThomas »

Can anyone help me identify this rod?
It has a Beaty Reel seat Pat. 1920 Butte Mont. and a cord grip.
Ferrules are Nickel Silver and has reverse snake guides, agate stripping guide.
Silks are Black tipped Red and Signature Wrap is Red Tip Black Narrow Red Black and Red Tip.
Intermediates are Black Red Black.
Rod is 8 foot in 3-1 configuration.
See photos attached.
Thank you in advance, Tommy Thomas

I am editing this post on 11/29 as I found something unusual to me,
when stripping the rod the entire length of the rod was wrapped in close
silk wraps. Thank you for viewing. Tommy Thomas
