Ed Cumings/Heddon “Greenleaf” 8’ 4 wt.

The mailman just delivered this Heddon-made Ed Cumings Fishing Tackle “Greenleaf” rod. It’s an 8’ 3/2 for 4 weight, tintedgreen. The rod was restored by Michael Sinclair. It’s pretty uncommon I think, I think I’ve only seen one other. I bought it from a friend; so glad to be the new caretaker of this rod.

Nice rod. They were apparently dyed green with malachite powder. I have one that was not translucent like yours, more of a solid green. It had the varnish meltdown like many Heddon’s and restored it myself as a pretty good match. It is an 8 1/2’ 2f rod and fishes great.

RHK, yes it has the Heddon 1 1/2 ferrule. I’ve got another in the same configuration, Heddon #20. They’re great trout rods.
