Sparse grey hackle forum dead?
#1So what's ging on with the Sparse Grey Hackle forum?
It's not loading anymore. Is it gone?...
That would be a shame as there's a wealth of information

#6If you do a search ‘sparse grey matter forum’ then you don’t see it in the search result
Re: Sparse grey hackle forum dead?
#7Not meaning to criticize but, just to illustrate how much of a difference a letter can make, it's sparsegreymatter. For me the site took an unusually long time to load this afternoon.

#8Agreed, took a relatively long time for me too. Apparently, Sparse originally went with Gray with an “a”, then switched to the British version when he turned 50 ( around 1942ish). According to Mac Francis.
Obviously I have a very busy afternoon, but glad I could squeeze this in

#10It timed out for me also but eventually came up. I think maybe whatever ISP he has that it's experiencing server issues. I had to reload to get it to come up.
Re: Sparse grey hackle forum dead?
#11I've had it time out on me a number of times in the last week. I usually browse with multiple tabs open, so I usually switch away and come back some time later to see it has loaded (or timed out).

#12When I shut off my VPN is came up immediately. Prior to that, no go.
Still not connecting at times when on the site though, some take a few tries.

#13Not loading for me either... and sadly, a couple times when it did after long, long delays.... when I tried posting something, including an image... it died... I tried that three different times and gave up...

#17For Windows users, search "Command Prompt". In the Command prompt window type; tracert sparsegreymatter.com
That will show you all the Hops and milliseconds from your location to the destination. A lot of times it may not be the website, instead it may be your digital route to get there.
