Q&A with Per Brandin

or however that dang word is written! : ) Use this forum to discuss those things that are related to, directly, or indirectly, fly fishing, i.e., tackle, catalogs, single malt scotch, cigar preferences, pipes, camera gear, etc. This is sort of an off topic area but one related to bamboo and fly fishing.

Q&A with Per Brandin

#1

Post by ibookje »

There are very few bamboo rod makers as highly regarded as Per Brandin.
Two weeks ago I was fortunate enough to have a private Zoom meeting with Per for a Q&A on my blog.
Enjoy the read!

Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Much appreciated!
Jeremy.
The fly rod not only catches trout; it is a handy fulcrum allowing me to cast to those things that seem so far beyond my grasp.

Thanks guys!

I really enjoyed the talk with Per. He has so much knowledge that it's a shame we can't 'store' his knowledge... But as Per said "that's what happens"

That was a terrific interview Jay, thank you for sharing this with us.

Like all here, I certainly hope Per’s treatment is a complete success and wish him the best during this period coming up.

Mr. Brandin is not only a superb rod maker, he is a deep thinker and a really decent person. I have had the pleasure of meeting him at classic tackle gatherings and on the East Branch of the Delaware. I wish him the speediest recovery.
