I have just come across what I hope is an antique bamboo fly rod case. It has Hardy Bros inscription (see pictures). I haven't been able to research this very well, but that's not surprising, I'm not the sharpest knife in the technology drawer. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

Re: Antique bamboo travel case for Hardy fly rod
#2These tubes where usually supplied with new rods from about 1900 to 1920, or they could be bought separately, in that case up to about 1940, but at extra cost. About half the trout rods Hardy made where supplied with tubes as standard.
They can, depending on the condition and length, be worth quite a bit, often more than the rods they where made for.
