Today was my first day on the river. For the past few years I try to kick off the year with my Payne 201 during the Hendrickson hatch. Today it worked out great. This superb Beaverkill brown rang the bell for my season.

A Payne, St.George, silk line, Hendrickson dun, on a Catskill freestone—doesn’t get much more classic than that.
