After having read Pavlov's Trout (1996) and then Darwin's Bass (1998) I have finally gotten around to reading Fishing Lessons (1998) by Paul Quinnett. For those of you interested in some of the reasons we fish or perhaps enjoy quips as to why we pursue this strange endeavor then I would suggest Fishing Lessons published by Andrews McMeel Publishing. One can plow through this read in a night or two but that would be a same as many of the essays here will have you contemplating yourself and why we agonize over the details and ephemera of the game called fishing and or life. I recommend this read to one and all. And it's simply fun.

#2I've read all three of Quinnett's books and enjoyed them all... that said, I most often refer to the other two you mentioned more...

#3I've also read and have copies of all 3 of these books by Paul Quinnett. I agree that they are all excellent reads, and the man himself has quite a professional resume. I actually read Fishing Lessons first, as I picked up a used hardcover copy years ago. More recently picked up like new paperback copies of Pavlov's Trout (Goodwill store) and Darwin's Bass (estate sale, actually signed by the author).
