The Deck Book

Just released, The Deck; Stories From a Pandemic, a 425-page work of non-fiction written by our boys (only eleven and thirteen at the time of writing). There are numerous anecdotal mentions and photos of fly fishing and my rodmaking (we fished quite a bit), but mostly it about two brothers making sense of a divided world us adults were making a mess of during 2020-2021, and they made sense of it by sticking together and running around outside. It can be purchased nearly anywhere books are sold, or through this link www.thedeckbook.com The link also contains additional reviews, author info and upcoming book tour events.

Of course I'm a biased parent, but here are what others have said:

“A one-of-a-kind portrait by two members of one of the finest human and canine families I've ever known defeating duress via faith in the human capacity to love.”
— David James Duncan, Author of Sun House, The Brothers K and The River Why
-
"This book is a cause for celebration and hope. Its young, intentional heroes remind us that mindful, intentional living can be a transformative experience, turning the everyday extraordinary."
—Chris Dombrowski, Author of The River You Touch and Body of Water
