Not a new rod, but an old rod that now has a tip and so is a usable rod once again. I had for some time an 8' Orvis Battenkill (or kit rod) (3/1) with no S/N or other markings and also no tips. I just picked up a tip and will get it refinished in all matching thread etc.
I don't have a PhD, but I do have a DD214.

I posted it on the what are you fishing this week thread. Alan Kube made 8'3" 2/2 5wt. quad. It's a beauty and fishes even better than it looks.

Thanks to Flykuni3, I just got this sweet little 7' 8" Hardy greenheart rod to add to my greenheart collection! I hope to fish it someday soon.

Just picked up a beautiful, Charlie made Jenkins GA 80 2/2. Borrowed the photo from the dealer I purchased it from. Just love the Jenkins rods and cant wait to fish it.

Looks in terrific shape. I have a special place in my heart for those Jenkins 8-footers.

Speaking of Jenkins 8 footers, here is a new to me, older model GA-80. Lovely, lovely rod.

Not sure what it is so any clues would be awesome!
9’ and 9’6” with extra tip. Suspecting a 8/9 Salmon rod….

Just fished a Don Schroeder 795-3/2 that I purchased recently. What a joy to fish! There was a stiff breeze in my face all afternoon, but the rod handled all quite easily. Very fun day.

Received a Very nice Granger Special 9050 from Jim Bresko - "Coldwater Collectibles" and thank goodness Jim knows how to pack well. USPS got it here in NY from the Midwest in 3 days but as usual weren't kind in handling it. Minor "tick" in the mid to butt ferrules and I suspect it's the butt female?
I hate to disturb the originality as the condition is really fine and well cared for. Using it with a loose ferrule though is asking for trouble.

Arrived on the porch like the pics show. Our carrier is a great guy and always puts packages out of sight for us.

Unwrapped a Granger Aristocrat 9050 this morning that was in great condition except the ferrules were sticking. Fortunately I drove to Mike Clark’s shop in Lyons and he hooked me up with a tune up on that rod. It is amazing. While I was there I picked up a new Brush Creek 7’-6” 4-5 wt Perfection taper rod to use on my home waters the St Vrain and the Big Thompson. It is sweet.

Granger Special Update:
After I reset the ferrule, I kept wondering why it was listed as being a 7 weight? Most rods are line rated for a specific weight but will cast one up or one down better depending on several factors. And yes, some rods have dual or more (rarely) line ratings. Enough said.
Anyhow, I decided to get out the gauges and was surprised that my newly acquired 9050 is a 9053. Butt is 19/64 and tips are 13/64. According to everything listed on Granger ferrule sizing for a 9050, they are supposed to be 18/64 and 12/64. Rod is very nice and was well cared for so no deal breaker for me. Chalking it up to "just my luck"😒

Kind of unfortunate when a dealer does not make sure what they are selling. My 9050's are indeed 9050's and cast a WF6 TT (W&M) and a peach DT5F (GG) perfectly. Granger literature rated the 9050 models with an HDH line the 9053 with HCH. You may have to get back to steelhead fishing despite the crowds Barebo. Good fishing with it!
