#22Thank you gents! I´m not here as much as I should these days and totally missed your comments for half a year... Shame on me. Anyway, rod seems to hold up well for "unca" Dave so both me and Anders are still proud of it.
Thanks again from me and the Junior Maker.

#24A treat to behold
Anders skilled bamboo journey
Becomes fine fly rod
Sorry Mats, I am suffering from an infection of Haiku and wanted to post my pleasure at seeing Ander's work unfold. You must keep this sequence of photos for posterity, years from now you will treasure them greatly no doubt.

#26well i'm late for work - but just sat and read the whole thread.
EXCELLENT.!
I had a custom rifle stock made from a plank of walnut - the builder gave me SBS photos too - a pleasure to look back over them - as i'm sure this rod owner does.!

#27Now, I really don´t mean to bump this old thread once again but as I don´t show up here as much as I used to I just wanted to say thanks to John, DD, Adrien and jhuskey for their nice comments (yes, it´s been quite a while and I´m sorry)! You know, just as Adrien wrote, it was a delight to scroll the thread after these years and even more delightful to know the kid is still at it!
Thanks tons guys,
Mats and Anders

#30Since I wasn't a member when first posted I'm very happy to see this thread and like others have said you're lucky to have a son with patience to do this and congrats to him on such a fine looking (and I'm sure fishing") first rod.

#31This is a ten year old post - from 2011.
What a joy! Plans to take pictures during my first build could only look this good.
Thanks so much for sharing them with us. Three cheers for you, that youngster Anders and his gumption!
