8' Hawes
#1I've been after a friend's 9' Hawes for some time but I've never had enough cash when he's looking to sell it. I thought that would be my only chance at owning a Hawes until I was fortunate enough to trade my way into this one. It is an 8' 3/2 4wt and if it didn't have a Hawes reelseat on it, I'd swear it's an early Leonard Model 50.

8' Hawes
#2Have only seen 1 8' 3 pc Hawes before and I agree it could have passed for an 8' Model 50 Leonard which doesn't surprise me since more than a few 8' 3 pc rods got their beginnings on that taper and with Hawes being an instrumental force at Leonard it makes perfect sense. Nice looking rod............
