I love it - how does she sound / rotate ?

Another Speyco reel has made its way into to my arsenal.... and yes, you guessed it - it sounds amazing.
So fun to adjust the click yourself... that click has a unique and functional design.
(since this photo I have reduced it from three to just two clicking points.. but plan to do some bending)

Rotates without wobble BUT I had to put a spring washer under the holding screw. Very light click but enuff to stop overrun.

Time to bring this topic back to life. Got a new reel that I absolutely love. If you are not familiar with the reels that Mauro Tosti makes, I'll share the one he made for me. This 3" version is exactly what I hoped it would be. Check out Hermit Valley Reels on Facebook and you'll be amazed at some of the incredible reels that have been made.

The re-issue of the Hardy Marquis, the LWT5. Nice reel, almost impossible to find but I persisted and found it and a LWT4 which I may snatch up.

Jim that's a neat looking reel - maybe you still have it. Possibly took it apart.
What do the guts look like to this reel ? What kind of drag is there ?
Any shot with the spool removed ?

Recently picked up a Leonard Mills reel made by Ron Kusse from Bob Selb. Absolutely beautiful little reel I've alway wanted. (using Bob's pictures because they're nicer than mine : )...

Folks...who needs a 'new' reel?? I snapped a picture of my 45 year old Ross R3 #0049 the other day. Still functions perfectly with many historic battles with thousands of fish. Enjoy!

Hi Mark. Any idea if this was a standard offering or indeed a reflection of the “Custom Reels” part of the company name?

Thanks Chris 😊

Salmo, i wouldn't call this a custom offering......but rather is from an early Era when Stan was still figuring out what his "normal" models and finish combinations would be. Based on history, this color combo didn't make the cut.

Not exactly lately, but not long ago. 4" Wayne Petrevan Plate- wind with one or two custom features.

Specially made case by Olaf Kundrus.
