Heddon models, trade rods and wrap colors--post yours
#1With so may phenomenal Heddon rods made, sometimes it's difficult to find pictures of ones you want to see. Some models are not even in the archives. Heddon has made so many different models and trade rods it would simply be nice to have pictures of them all under one post to have an easy reference for reel seats, grip configurations, and wrap color schemes. If you have a Heddon that you want to share, please post a photo. Hopefully we can get a collection of Heddons including trade rods in one post.

#12Steuck Special, Max Cook Sporting Goods , Denver,Colo. 7 1/2' 3/2. Original blue and gold silk wraps have aged to a shade of green and gold with intermediates on butt only. No hook keeper and wrapped winding check. Larger swelled butt than a #10 rod I have with the same taper.

#13Here are some "Sloans Favorite" pictures
Please feel free to use the pictures for whatever purpose.
For the life of me, I cannot figure out how to log into the PhotoBucket window. I can log in directly to Photobucket, but not via this forum. Sorry about my ineptitude.
As I wrote, feel free to do anything with them.
This is an 8' 6" rod.

#16The Sloan Favorite looks more like an Edwards than a Heddon??? Did Edwards make rods for Heddon??

#17Well now, you've gone and asked me a question beyond my knowledge.
I inferred that is was a Heddon based on two "things"
I inherited a bunch of rods, and the cloth liner in which the rod arrived had a label, "Heddon, A Genuine Dowagiac".
'Course, that could have been from a different rod.
The top of this thread mentioned "sloans", which is how I got here.
That is the sum total of my knowledge about his rod.
I'll have to let those more in the know chime in.
