HEDDON FERRULE & ACTION CHART (3-Piece Rods) - 1939-1942.
Seems Heddon did away with the line weight recommendations for several years.
*NOTE* In 1939, the No.1-3/4 Ferrule in "Light Trout" action was added.

HEDDON FLY ROD WEIGHT, FERRULE & LINE WEIGHT CHART FOR "FEATHERWEIGHT" MODELS (2-Piece) - 1939-1942.
The introduction of the "Featherweight" models in 1939 created a whole new size and weight chart for them.

HEDDON FLY ROD WEIGHT, ACTION, FERRULE & LINE WEIGHT CHART - 1946-1948.
Starting immediately after the war, Heddon produced their most comprehensive Fly Rod Chart ever, for 3-Piece rods only. The image below is taken from the rare 1946 Heddon catalog.

Hopefully, this thread will be of help in indentifying, dating and understanding the rod specifications for all fly rod models from James Heddon's Sons.

Over the next several weeks, with a new image-hosting service, I'll be rebuilding this "Heddon Catalog" thread. The same will be done with the South Bend catalog thread. Thankfully, I still have all the original catalogs or copies from both companies. I've even acquired some additional rare catalogs since the original thread was started, so it should be even better than ever. Again, I want to thank Mark (Admin) for his help and support. I feel for the people impacted by Photobucket's terrible and blatant move. The damage caused by them is incalculable.

It appears all of the images posted with Postimage have disappeared. FOR EVERYONE! Sorry, but I won't be re-doing the Heddon, South Bend & Shakespeare Catalog listings. It's much too much work and I just don't have it in me to do them all over again. What a shame!!!

Hi Mark. I have used your catalog listings numerous times. I just want to thank you for uploading them in the first place and especially for going through the ardous task of doing it a second time.

This is the first image with the "org" changed to "cc". What would concern me, since I know squat about computers, servers and whatever a registry might be is that if all the images are edited to "cc" from"org" but then postage returns to "org" will all the newly edited images then disappear? It simply may be too unreliable to rely on a third-party image site.
