New Book on the Letort
#1This is a very nice collection of facts, stories, pictures, recollections and timelines on many aspects of the Letort Spring Run. I'm enjoying my copy immensely. It's 28.00 plus shipping and tax, and funds go to obtaining a parcel of land on the upper river for the conservancy....

#2What's it cost, creaky? The link I clicked took me right to Paypal, but maybe I missed the amount.

Re: New Book on the Letort
#5It's a perfect-bound paperback. Numerous color photos and color pages. Nice paper. Printed it seems through a Dickinson College Aquatic Resources Office. It's a nice job.Kaneman1 wrote:Creaky is the book a Hard cover ?
Thanks

#7Thanks Creaky Trust your opinion on fishing books. Have dreamed about the Letort since reading Charlie Fox’s Rising Trout while in high school. It was my first fishing book purchased without the help of my parents. It’s amazing how time flies. I still have the original copy and reread many times and love the chapter on night fishing. Fox was a great writer.
Wish the fishing was similar to the Charlie Fox era on the Letort . One of these years I will fish the Letort but I hear that it has been severely effected by urban sprawl.
Just ordered the book. Thanks Bohemian Bob

Re: New Book on the Letort
#8Since it is printed by this Pa conservation group, it will likely be out of print in no time, so probably worth grabbing one if it is at all of interest.....

#10“The Letort: A Limestone Legacy”
https://www.paflyfish.com/threads/the-l ... nce.44497/
It’s hard to find the above small book, but Waters of the Valley is a pretty good read from the same author Michael Klimkos, and is still on amazon for now…..

#11Klimkos was a long time Cumberland valley TU guy, never hear that he wrote a book.
