For the Mac users |

I found that Yuku does not like Safari 2.04 on the Mac. It does not add all of the editing features for posting, i.e. adding photos, smilies, etc. Firefox on
the Mac works fine, I have not tried the new Safari 3.0 with Yuku, the last time I tried the new beta Safari, before its current update, it did not work very
well, so I removed it. I'll probably give the new one a try in a week.

I don't have a MAC or any experience with them so I asked Marcelo to do some testing and here is his report.
I tested the last version of Safari 3.0.3, running the latest version of the Mac OS X operating System 10.4.10 OK I tested the last version of Firefox 2.0.0.6 running the same operation System. OK Marcelo banjo

I tried this last night. The Safari 3 beta doesn't like yuku when posting. You can view perfectly fine. I didn't see the RTF buttons, nor the ability
to add hyperlinks, images, etc. For plain text posts, things work ok.

Well, that didn't last a week. I tried the new beta Safari and got the same results as Dale and Marcelo. So Mac users should use Firefox until Apple or
Yuku correct the problem. I will try Opera and Camino and post the results. Jim

This is from Yuku Tech Support............
Opera issue is fixed. There is no one to push it now (the guys had a long night pushing new code so they are taking some well deserved rest). Sorry for the inconvenience and expect the fix to be up sometime tomorrow. banjo

Banjo, not sure what issue the tech support at Yuku is talking about, but I tried Opera and Camino on the Mac and these are my findings. Camino worked rather
well, as well as Firefox, so no problems there. Opera, on the other hand had login issues. I could not login from the link at the upper left corner next to the
Yuku logo. The only way I could login was to pick a forum and either start a new topic or post a reply. That brought me to the correct login window. Neither
Opera or Camino had the RFT issues that Safari has. Once in either Opera or Camino, you can post, add images and icons.

I have a Mac and Safari is giving me fits. I posted something yesterday and it was posted as from "Howellsman" instead of me, Booman2. Additionally,
my profile (?) records me as a female. This was quite a surprise to my wife of 35 years.
Now, I am off to find a Firefox. |

I know this isn't a Mac Forum, but anyway I have a Q about Safari vs. Firefox, etc... Safari allows an "auto-click" function, where multiple
pages are opened in multiple tabs with just one click.
For example, in my case, I have about 75 web pages that I regularly peruse. I have them all loaded in one folder in my bookmarks bar. I open Safari, and click on that button, and 75 web pages all open at once, all while I drink my coffee and check my shrinking portfolio, in 75 tabs. Yes, I have a good internet connection. Otherwise, I would click about 75 times on Firefox. Is there a way to do this on Firefox (or some other browser) on the Mac? This one feature is a deal killer for Firefox (for me). I use both browsers. FoxFire has an eloquent Tab function.

Dale, go to the Mozilla Firefox Addons page, there are a number of plugins that work like scripts that you can install into Firefox. I'll be you can find
one that suits your needs. Jim

OK, now I cannot even do a simple text post on safari. Using Firefox.
I tried to find an appropriate add-on for my needs at Mozilla, but didn't find one. thanks anyway. Dale |

Well I'm a brand spanky new Mac user (I finally crossed over). I was getting very frustrated trying to post pics until I found this very handy post!
Firefox is the way to go. I'm very surprised at Apple. Thanks for the technical support page boys.

Firefox released a new browser "Camino" specially made for Mac users. I'm using it without any problems from about 30 days.

Posting Pictures using Firefox? | #17 | ||
|
OK, I downloaded FireFox and tried to post a picture.
Copied the url from photobucket and hit the picture icon in the toolbar on my post and when the box came up asking me to put in the pic's url - there was not EDIT in the main toolbar [very top of the page] and therefore no PASTE command. What do I do next? Thanks |

No wonder I can't post photos with Safari. I'm switching over to FireFox which I should have done along time ago. Many thanks for the info as I thought
it was me.

One of the keys using FoxFire with Mac is that when you want to make a comment and insert photos (after uploading photos into your bucket acct.), be sure to
hit "Add Reply," rather than Quick Reply.
When you're within the Add Reply window, a tool bar comes up on the right top bar. There's a symbol there for PhotoBucket. Just click on it once & you'll see all your photos. A single click on any photo inserts it into your Clark's comment. Very, very simple. Experiment first in this tech section. Once you've got it, no problem. |

OK, this is an old thread, but this topic still bugs me. Safari is used by a substantial percentage of net users. Why, still, cannot one reply with features on
Yuku using Safari??? Replies turn into one big block/paragraph of text unless you add in some very non intuitive formatting commands. Has this issue been
dropped by admins? Can we bring it up again? I only use Safari because it allows me to open, in tabs, a whole bunch of sites, in a single window, with a single
click. It is a pain in the butt to change browsers just to reply. I am writing this reply in Safari, but it is going to be just one paragraph block. Dale
