We've discussed Mr Zhu's silk lines and reels here, but has anyone purchased one of the rods he offers, and if so, what do you think of it?

Mr Zhu is the manufacturer of almost all of the imported Chinese rods. For the most part the quality is OK, has greatly improved over the past couple of years.

Hei,
I bought two of his rods for presents, 8´ #6 and 6,9´ #4. Both of them are very good rods for that price; actually I got the #4 on the web for 60 Euros (almost no way to find a graphite rod in that price...). Straight bamboo, good wripping and varnish, plus safe shipping and very good comunication. Highly recomendable. If I find the time I will attach some pictures. Greetings, Ra. |

I have the 7' 4wt. I have only lawn cast it, but it seems like a very nice rod. I was very impressed with mr. Zhu in general, fast shipping, safely packed,
good communication. Keep in mind the nicest rods I have are Orvis and Granger, in terms of comparison.
When I match wits with a trout, I usually lose...
