Hello all,
I recently finished planing down a 2 strip quad of a Payne Banty, I used the .95 factor for conversion from hex to quad, on the 0 dimension of the taper, they call for a .052 on hex, after the conversion it is .048, that means I planed each strip down to .024. I have never down a tip top this small, it seems almost wrong, anyone think that it is too small? I am unsure if the Dia. of the tip top is going to play into a choice for a new line weight? I would hate to snap the tip off because its to weak. Any ideas or comments would be helpfull.
Thanks, Matt.
