Hello,
Does anyone have a taper recommendation for an 8' 3/2 4 or 5 wt rod? I have not seen many, but am interested in building one this summer. Thanks. Jim |

I have made the 801610 and it's a nice 5wt, for an 8' 3/2 4wt check out Dickerson's 801510.

Check with dave male ( Oneculm). he made me an 8' ,3/2 based on the Heddon 1 1/2F rod. It handles a 3 or 4 and is a very sweet feeling rod with great
sensitivity, yet not wimpy.

Here's one I took from a Leonard Model 40, not the fastest rod ever made but very nice casting. Deduct about .006 for varnish. Thanks for the tapers. I appreciate everyone's response. Have a rod roughed and ready to be planed, now I'll just have to decide which taper to use.
