On this forum many current rod maker's names pop up from time to time. However, I do not recall seeing the name of Dave Collyer from Denver. Do any members
have one of his rods? Some of his rods shown on his web site appear to look well made.
This forum began as Clark's Classic Bamboo Rod Forum, founded by Clark Davis for all who share a passion for classic rods. The forum is now owned by Whitefish Press aka Dr. Todd Larson - banjo.

Search the Entire forum for Collyer and you'll find plenty...mostly glowing and some excellent photos as well.

I have posted many times about Dave's rods, and seen other postings regarding his rods as well. He definitely is among the finest builders cosmetically.
And, he builds off of a couple of different tapers including a modified set of Young tapers. Finally, he is a great guy to deal with whether you are buying
one of his rods via a custom order or buying a rod he is brokering on his web site. Ric

I cannot say enough about Dave Collyer and his rods. I now own six of his rods and each is truly stunning in every respect. Dave is definetly an innovator
cosmetically. For the incredibly qaulity of his rods he's suprisingly only made about 70 or so. I feel he may be the most underrated builder out
there...only my opinion. His rods are fantastic casting rods and the finish work is up there with the great names of the bamboo world. Dave's
7'6" Hollow Trouter and 7'9 Hollow Para 14 Cholla rod are by far and way the most fished rods in my quiver. His rods are worth every penny. Dave
has took a leave of absence from this site for personal reasons, but he still keep up the forum on his site and is easily to get a hold of.
