I think I will be in Walla Walla in early October - is there any good fishing nearby that time of the year?
Thanks, Bob

The South Fork of the Walla Walla is worth the effort. This is in Oregon near the town of Milton-Freewater and the better fishing requires at least some
hiking (less than three miles on easy trail). You will be sharing the (small) river with spawning salmon and possibly a friendly bear or two. The rainbows
are not large, but bull trout are present & can be much bigger. The river canyon is beautiful & will be stunning in fall colors. I can provide you
with more details later, but tomorrow I leave for two weeks in Montana. Let me know.
