I would like to try Epon for my next few rods and was wondering where is the best place to purchase it. I think I am looking for epon 828 / epicure 3140. but
not sure.
Thanks, Jack

Bingham Archery is where I get mine. It is now listed as D.E.R. 383/Versamid 140

Agreed with Spring Creek. Bingham is great and they sell a small size, so you can test out the glue and see if you like it. It is really an excellent glue.

I get mine from miller-stephenson chemical company Epon Resin 828 and Epi-cure 3140 curing agent.
If I remember right it was $85 plus shipping for a quart of each.

If it is still the same stuff they were carrying when I ordered last, the Bingham Epon is 826, rather than 828 (with the 140 hardener). My understanding is
that the 826 is a little thinner resin, but I haven't used it first hand to know for sure. As far as use, set time, heat setting, and performance,
strength, etc., I believe the two are essentially the same.

I received an email from Bingham today stating that the product they now sell is a replacement for epon. Its made by Dow Chemical Co. They don't sell epon
any more.
So I placed an order with miller stephenson co, for the epon 828 / epicure 3140. Thanks for all the help, Jack |
