Could anyone post a picture of a picture of a reelseat butt cap (end view) from an orvis fly rod circa 1940's? Preferably from a 5 or 6 wt. rod. Thanks in

Thanks Greg. I really needed an end view shot. I was hoping a member who had a 1940's rod would take a picture of one and post it. It looks like there were
different types, so maybe the question was moot. I may be in the wrong spot with this post and need to move it to the identification and appraisal area with
pics of the rod in question.

I can post a picture of the but cap on my ca. 1940 rod if it will help you. It's pretty plain. No marks just smooth and a bit convex (rounded). The reel seat is like those in Greg's pictures. It's an 8 1/2', 3/2 ,16/10 ferrules. 5 wt. Bob
