Art:
You can order directly from YLI online at: http://www.ylicorp.com I see their price has gone up to $6 per spool. You can save a few cents by ordering here, but they may not have all the colors and sizes: http://www.uncommonthread.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv? --Rich |

Under magnification, Angler's Workshop house brand silk looks like it might be YLI. It's good stuff, at any rate.

Thanks guys.
I know that FISH HAWK from Merrick Tackle is YLI silk, (has both labels on the spool) |

I've always used Pearsall's, but I recently ordered some YLI to try it out. Hasn't come yet, sometimes GW is a little slow getting things out.
I'm looking forward to seeing how it looks on blonde cane with no color preserver.

Stephen,
Forgive me for getting off-topic, but weren't you wearing that same hat about 30 years ago in Logan, Utah? At least it's a new cigar... |

Just wrapped and varnished a Dickerson 6611 with YLI #100. Have to say I like it better than Pearsalls. It lays flatter and seems to take the varnish nicer.
I'll post pics in the New Rod section when it's done.
