It appears that after 2 months I need to pursue another avenue. Now that her fishing season is over, I guess it will be a Christmas present for Mom.
The top one's a Hank Roberts ginger quill nymph. The bottom one's a copy. I had two up until a week or so ago when I sent them out to a guy in Lakewood, CO who wanted to tie some. He sells flies on the J. Stockard fly market, so once he gets the pattern to the point where he's satisfied with it, he may sell them as well. Anyway, it's probably worth contacting him. Here's the thread on the Flytying forum: http://www.flytyingforum.com/index.php?showtopic=45440 Send him a PM (join if you need to).
In his blog he writes "Hank Roberts tied his flies with a different set of proportions, I'm tying mine with a more standard set of proportions." If your mother wants flies true to the original, you might want to specify that when you contact him.
edited to add: I just sent him a PM with a link to this thread - as close to an introduction as I can give you.
Thanks in advance for your help,
Mike
