Posts: 698 11/10/2009 12:26	Sorry I missed this thread when it was active. Seeing this revival of interest in Hank Roberts and his favorite fly the Ginger Quill, I thought I'd chime in. A little known fact: George Anderson preceded me tying for Hank before he went to work for Hank's arch rival, Dan Bailey. George's Brown Stone was Anderson's modification of the GQ. I have a piece of Hank Roberts ephemera someone on this thread might be interested in...It's a salesman's sample case (minus the flies). I did all the graphics and lettering and tied all the original patterns (to be sent to the Guatemala manufactory for the remainder). So, this case shows all the patterns that were offered at that point in the late 70s. Obviously the case is in need of a retrofit, but it would make a nice project for a Hank Roberts fan. # # # # # # # # # # # # # # Petri heil! Gordon's Braided/Woven Ginger Quills and Dominoes nymphs arrived well before Christmas, so I can at least get the flies to my Mom for a Christmas present.
