Looking for some info on Hardy Perfect all brass reproduction reel.
Was there some 2 5/8 made in all brass or 3 only?

The 2 5/8 inch version was part of a very limited anniversary set with a bamboo fly rod (early to mid nineties).
I believe Drewett refers to it at the end of his book. The 3 inch is a later (around Y2K) separate series. I own one of those, wonderful reel...

They are wonderful reels. I found 3 one i wish i can trade it for 2 5/8

I've looked it up for you. Drewett describes the 2 5/8 inch all brass from page 553 and up.

I guess i can only dream to find all brass in 2 5/8. 3 is a very nice reel smooootest perfect i ever tried but very heavy |

It's very smooth indeed. I've owned my 3 inch for a while now, and I seriously consider to put a line on it and use it with my restored Hardy "The
Davy". Should be a very enjoyable experience.
