As I slowly ramp up my fly tying to those I owe flies to, I had a TU buddy call recently where we discussed some nymphs that we fished this past season,
including several dressings where I mixed up some dubbings using Antron fibers and Ice dubbing to natural hair / furs, instead of using straight / natural fur
dubbings. So to get some practice before doing all the past due flies, I tied a few nymphs (bead & non-bead) using one of the "mixes".
Since the Partridge and Orange is a great soft hackle, I wondered if a "fuzzy thorax" could be used instead of a partridge hackle. Although the pic may make the flies look bigger than they are, these were tied on size 16 Daiichi #1560 hooks.
