I'm asking this for a friend on another forum. Can anyone tell me anything about this rod and/or its value based on this vague description?
Williams Mills and Son Standard 9 1/2 foot light salmon bamboo rod built by Leonard circa 1915(? ) The rod has a sliding band real seat, swelled butt, a single tip, and agate (?) guides. It has been scarfed and refinished. It casts a 6 weight 60 feet with a gentle haul. The Mills Standard appears with other steelhead rods in Trey Combs "Steelhead Fly Fishing and Flies."
He had no photos to provide so I can't help ya there.
Thanks Much, Lonnie
