Ari T Hart Fly Reel Seat |

Does anyone remember the Ari T Hart fly reel seat? Machined aluminum, ventilated body and hard anodized, probably around the time of his fly tying vise. My
notes don't bring back enough information. Thanks.

Actually, Ari did several different reelseats, and I think four vises if I remember correctly. Some were under the ATH name, some under Ari't Hart
International, and I think he did another reelseat after going back on his own after Dutch Reels took over Ari't Hart International. Knowing Ari I'm
quite sure he did several more of each that were one-off's.

Thor,
There is at least one reel seat of the design you described owned by one of the members of this forum. The reason I know is I was looking to purchase an Ari Hart reel seat last year and the Forum memebr sent me a picture of the seat he owned. Paul B |

There are two such reel seats currently for sale ( for you wealthy chaps) on the Class Reels web site listed under reels for sale.

The reel seats on Class reels have been sold a long time ago.
Here are two images of the two models made during the International era (from my private collection):

The reel seat I have is more like the one on Class Reels website. The body is ventilated, the difference is mine is completely hard anodized, so is one color.
Has a very interesting buttcap that is threaded into the bottom of the reel seat, there uplocking.
