Beautiful, very classy. I understand you've made this yourself? Very nice work!

Hi Wilfred,
I did not make this myself - I have absolutely no talents in that direction at all. Thanks for your comments. Bob |

I've been using something very similar for a while now, although I like the shape of yours better. What are the dimensions?

I like 'em...
A halogen spot lamp of some sort would really highlight them. I've seen some in display cases made for retail.

I think they would look a lot better on a cane rod at a riverbank somewhere.

Nice......is it plexiglas + some sort of crown molding for the base? Thats a good idea...................I'd like to incorporate that with some simulated
reel seats on a bent stainless steel (similar to a cabels reel display).

I'm not a big fan of chotskies around the house but here are a few of my reels in a case I found in the trash pile of an old girlfriend......cleaned it up
and voila......it hangs but I just haven't made it official on a wall yet. Also not a huge fan of collecting stuff I don't use so I may sell some of
these reels soon. Although if you think about it these things do not depreciate like lots of "assets" in the financial world today. I look forward
to seeing other minimalist display ideas on this thread. Another nice thread would be photos of everyone's tying desk.

that's sharp, Bob.
I've been looking for an old curio with glass front - I'll keep looking until I find it.
the rods are never obsolete - the marketing is.

I just received one of the 4 x 4 x 10 cases from Bob and it looks great. The base moulding is mitered well and the glass joinery is also good.
Thanks Bob! gf2 |

I'm in London this weekend and have just bought what was a 'middle Eastern' medicine cabinet [no doubt that description added £50 to the price]. It
will hang nicely on my study wall. Will post some shots when it arrives home.
