Just tried my friends hardy cc de france 7ft. Rod was too fast for my liking. Are all Hardy rods fast? Are there medium progressive rods made by Hardy? Thanks

What was the age of the rod? Older CCdeFs are not what I would consider "fast." The Marvel, probably Hardy's most famous rod, has alovely medium
action.

CCdF var produced 1911 to 1961 - so they are quite old by now, and the ones in good shape become more and more rare. Well I have one - and don't really
think it's fast. But one I perhaps should look into, is the Hardy Phantom 6' 10" - they are not as scarse as the CCdF - and they are priced a bit
more moderat.
Reeldane ps: Alpom - my favourite british cane rod is the Clifford Constable "Wallop Brook" series (Staggered) I saw one in a Classified section a few weeks ago - if you have the chance try it - it's just marvelous !
