Anybody familiar with this book?
It seems to be quite rare.
I looked on Amazon and there were a few used copies.

Uinta, I've got a copy and also another of "Madison River Country". I met Sid at a conclave in W. Yellowstone in the late 70s. Charming
fellow, I seem to recall he purchased a property in Star Valley, WY that had a spring creek on it. I fished it once and it was quite nice...4 species of
trout. Oh, yes...that spring creek was in the Snake River country!

Sid is still alive and was recently interviewed. Not doing real well from a health view point. Much of his tackle has been sold on Ebay over the past few
years. I got my copies off Ebay at a reasonable price since no one has ever heard of Sid. Mine were signed.

Sid fished his tackle hard and it showed - no I did not buy any of it.

I went over to his home in Salt Lake to look at some stuff he was trying to sell and you hit the nail on the head - those rods were hammered! That's when
he gave me the book. Interesting man.

I bought one of Eliason's rods, a Pezon, off the auction site. It had a splintered tip that was splinted with a coping saw blade and cotton string of all
things, and a spare tip made by Winston. I took the splintered tip to Bob Summers, who was quite amused by the original repair, and he fixed it perfectly. I
got it really cheap off the bay and Bob fixed it for not much money. I was told Eliason was an investor in Winston when Tom Morgan bought it. Anybody know if
this was true?
