I have just been shown the new Richard Wheatley 150th anniversay dry fly box. You can see what I mean at their website www.richardwheatley.co.uk Stunning with a superb picture of a rising brown trout on the front and the back which is (I am told) anodised into the metal so should not scratch. Apparently the first batch has already sold out and was oversubscribed so a second batch has been ordered. This is what I am giving myself for my birthday - what are you giving yourself.

Nothing. Waking up and being able to stare down at the grass is more than enough of a gift for me.
Just my opinions, as stated previously if one disagrees or thinks I'm FOS, then just ignore anything I have to say...

Yesterday was my 60th birthday and while I did not buy myself anything, when the mail arrived there were some birthday cards. One card from my daughter, son in law and grandchildren contained a gift certificate for a stay at the Hungry Trout and some fishing on the West Branch of the Ausable river in the Adirondack's. Life is good.

Thanks and I'll enjoy the Adirondacks, its been a couple of years since I fished the West Branch. Jim Happy Birthday Your wife is a sweetheart. A Payne, lucky guy. My wife kept asking me what I wanted for my birthday, unfortunately I'm having trouble deciding. There are a few rods I'd like to have and a few reels. Oh well decisions, decisions. Thanks guys Hap |
