Anyone have any info on the Bighorn in Late October? Never been there at that time of the year, actually last time I was there was in 1994. What can I
expect, conditions, weather, fish...

October is a great time for the famous Bighorn trico hatch. And they're big tricos too. Size 16. You'll want an overcast day with no wind and
preferably snowing lightly. Then you will experience the proverbial "blanket hatch"...unbelievable!
One year three of us got physically tired of catching fish by noon and called it a day, satiated. Be prepared for either summer or winter weather conditions, or something in between! However, peak time for the trikes is really around the first weekend in October. They may be a bit sparse by late October. Give the Bighorn Trout Shop in Ft. Smith a call for the latest updates and fishing conditions. Good luck! Regards, Flyman
