This started out with hopes of a 3 piece 7.5' 5 wt. Well my planing was off and what I ended up with, to me , is a nice medium actioned 4 wt that loves my Thebault DT4 silk line.
I wouldn't deduct anything for varnish as it is very thin.
Heat treated at 375 for 12 minutes.
