Posts: 95 10/05/2009 13:51	Tags : None I tried to post this before but I think it failed. If it duplicates I am sorry. I recently snapped my 3 year old 9'6" 8wt, just below the tabs on the middle section butt ferrule. This rod has taken a beating and caught a good number of fish and survived . Why it broke now is a mystery to me - except when I removed the butt end of the section from the ferrule - the end which had been nicely cut and sanded flat was now stepped as if glue had failed along the middle and the two halves were sliding over each other. The remainder the middle section however looks fine. See fuzzy pics below. I have the choice of makeing new middle section - or with less effort use the existing section and have a 9'5" rod. Any thoughts from the cognescenti ??
