I've already have two others( one forum member dshx) joining me on this float trip on world famous Moraine Creek in Katmai National Park. Moraine Creek is considered to be in top 5 rainbow waters in the world. Moraine is only 15 miles long so we'll more static camping in it's prime fishing spots. These fat bows will run from 18-24" on average with some fish going over 30". It's truly a magical place with over 400,000 sockeye salmon spawning and bows feeding on their eggs. It also a great place to see brown bears snorkle and feed on the spawning salmon. I've done Moraine in the past and it's never disappointed. The leopard rainbows unique to this part of Alaska are magnificent and the strongest fatest fighters I've ever incurred. The trip starts with float plane flyout from King Salmon AK to a lake at the headwaters of Moraine to begin our adventure which will last 7 days 6 nights until the float plane picks us up to return to King Salmon. All food, guiding, tents, cots are provided. The equipment is the very best and the food is fantastic. I've been given a substantial discount to offer to two-three forum members. Contact me for price. The price is $500-1000 below the price of other float trip outfitters. Lodges in the area charge $6000-7000+ for luxury of cabins. Below are some pics of my previous trip. If interested and want more info please feel free to contact me at cal1280@fairpoint.net FYI even though the bows are feeding on spawn they will take drys and mouse patterns plus grayling are plentiful. I know from personal experience. The dates for the trip is prime time Aug 26 to Sept 1, 2010
Thanks,
Dennis
