Looks nice so far. What else are you going to be making there ? Will there be a grand opening with coffee and all the goodies from the bakery?

We need a finished, inside view: rods hung, rods as a work in progress, junk rods, prize rods, rods behind glass, rods with weird wraps, rod books, rods in
pieces... You know, the usual rod shack shot.

I need to say that recane is a danger to everyone's health who lives in the Ashville area. He has been known to make individuals put on excess pounds and
raise their colestrol by many points.

What are you going to use to insulate and ventilate? Did you design this yourself or are the plans from another source? How much natural light will come
in? And, yes, we will pictures and updates through the whole project, if you're willing/able.

Yes. we can have a party in my new shed and I will bring plenty of goodies from the bakery. I will only be making rods in the shed. No knitting, no flower
arrangements, no doilies. I am going to put windows along the top of the long side ( 2 feet by 16 feet) behind that I will put my 6 solar panels wich are
connected to adeep cycle battery and then a 2000 watt continious power inverter. I should be able to run a small fridge for cold beer, a power tool or two
(sander, Dave Male special rod lathe, drill) a light and a TV set for Nascar on Sunday. This week end I will be putting up fiberglass insulation and some
cheap paneling. I will also swing by the flea market to look for an old small wood stove. I spent about $500.00 so far on the solar system so It will be a
while before I see any savings of money. I just like the idea of being off the grid WHEN the S*%& goes down.

The big question is when you get ready to put a few sections in the oven, do you put them in with the cakes and pies or do they go in with the cookies?

I like the fact that you have allowed plenty of room for critters to take up residence underneath the shack.

Here are some shots from the newly finished Rod Shack / Likker House. There are a few details to finish up but I'l wait till the weather is a little bit warmer to put up the drip edge on the roof.
These are the solar panels on the back wall

I didn't see a marble slab so you can make pies while you wait for the varnish to dry.
