I have a couple 6'ers from the early to mid 1970's but they look pretty much like they do today (I'll post them if you want). I had owned the 9th
(ser.#2009) rod the company made and sold it to a board member in Alaska, it had Maxwell's "Top hat & Tails fisherman" inked on the shaft and
Maxwell had printed a number under each guide as in #1 under the stripper, #2 under the first snake, #3 under the second snake and so on.
